Jamesburg School Band

The Jamesburg Band is conducted by Mr. John Mihalko. It consists of
the fifth, sixth, seventh, and eighth graders. Instruments in the band include flutes, clarinets, saxophones, trumpets, trombones,
and percussion. We also have two bass clarinets, a tenor sax, and piccolo. The
band plays for many occasions. We host a winter and spring concert at night
for all community members. We also replay those concerts for the students
during the day. In part of the celebrations for Memorial Day we play in the
annual parade. In the past we have played for the Jamesburg winter and spring
festivals. Our band practices are usually every Thursday after school from 3:00
to 3:45.
We also have a Jazz Band. This program is for seventh and eighth graders.
It consists of saxophones, trumpets,
trombones, and a drum set. We play at all the events the concert band plays
at. They meet every Tuesday from 3:00 to 3:45.
For our fourth graders, we have Juinor Band. The fourth graders start out with a demonstration of all
instruments by a friend of Mr. Mihalko. They also receive a few pointers and get to play the instruments.
They start playing and practicing right away and make their debut at the Spring Concert.
